Places to eat near my Univ

Since my classmates have posted on some restaurants I have decided to cover different places to what he has explained. I will be targeting this vlog to someone who is around my age ( a teenager to early 20s) and is keen to look for a fashionable or a so called 'it' place in Shibuya / Omotesando district.

The first one on my list is my all time favourite: Ralph Lauren Café ( Ralph's Coffee )

I love this cafe so much that this is my go to place to eat when I am with my friends or when I have to recommend a place to someone. It is however a little pricy considering that it is a cafe owned by a brand but the quality of the food makes it worth every penny.

Their drinks and cakes have such a rich taste it feels like you just had a three course meal. But you can't miss out on their actual food. Their sandwiches and salads are to die for and will look great on your Instagram posts.

One thing I would be careful of is that it could be quite crowded with a queue, so it might be better to go on a weekday and avoid lunch hours.

Also there are menus available on the internet but there are limited addition seasonal foods and drinks available so make sure to check that out next to the cashier!

Next on the list is: Cucina Diesel Farm

This is also one of my favourites. If you are looking for good food with high posh alcohol and a daring bold atmosphere this place is the place to go to. Trust me it is picture worthy.
They had a renewal quite recently so the store is really clean and the menus have also been renewed.

In my opinion I really love their pasta. It is thick it is  flavourful, literally everything you'd imagine a perfect pasta would have.

The restaurant is also inside the DIESEL store so its in a good location to hop in for a quick break during  your shopping.

A place I loved from when I was a freshmen and still do to this day : Un Café

This cafe/restaurant has such a beautiful atmosphere I'm pretty sure everyone I took here liked it. There are outside terrace seats for warmer days and indoor seats that give of expensive dining.

What I like about this place is that it is located at the centre of Omotesando but has such a conscientious price. You can get a salad, main dish and a drink for just over 1000 yen and is very delicious.

Lastly is the: Anniversaire Café

This place is so so so delicious and is a really nice restaurant with extremely good hospitality.
I cannot explain how much I recommend this place so I hope the pictures are doing the job for me.

This restaurant is something that is served in weddings as well and has a chapel right next to it. It is also located in the richest part of Omotesando so the atmosphere and people dining there has a really good attitude which I love. During winter it is lit up with illuminations which adds the warmth.

Even though it is located at such a good place and the hospitality and the food itself is immaculate, the price isn't that expensive either so if you are looking for a good place to dine whilst shopping for designer items this is the place.

Comments

  1. Your vlog entry has many positive and attractive features. As I read through it, I realized that you probably should have been the tour guide when we went on the “field trip” around the Omotesando area to explore the variety of eateries available.

Here are some of what I thought were the best features of your vlog entry:

    * At the beginning, you clearly identified the target of your blog in terms of their age and interests: “someone around [your] age (a teenager to early 20s) [who is interested in visiting] fashionable or a so-called 'it' place in Shibuya / Omotesando district.”

    * It’s good that your own assessments of the restaurants are explicitly stated. Like, when speaking of the Ralph Lauren Café, you opine that “it’s worth every penny,” despite being rather pricey; or when you write that the dishes at Cucina Diesel Farm are “picture worthy.”

    * You nicely balanced text and images. I think you got the proportions of each just right.

    * You appropriately attributed the photos that you did not take yourself to being from the restaurant’s Instagram account, or elsewhere.

    * It was admirable that you tried to present cafes that, although all seemingly posh, were actually at a range of price points, from rather expensive to more affordable.

On the side of constructive criticism, I’m not a fan of your burgundy background. Remember that readability and accessibility is of paramount importance. Do you remember how the award-winning blogs we analyzed were designed? You can read about some important design considerations at the sites below. Your site currently fails the contrast test badly. When we first visit your site, the contrast between the text and the background is so narrow that the text is virtually unreadable. People with some visual disabilities would especially have trouble reading the content. Check out these design sites for guidance:
